Thanks to you WE DID IT!

It has been quite a while since I have last tended to my Miss Black and Gold Blog and I decided that today was the day for an update! I want to thank all of my friends and family for all of the support that I have received for my Miss Black and Gold journey this year! Because of you guys WE WON!!!!

The feeling of winning the title of Miss Black and Gold 2012 for the University of Missouri Alpha Phi Alpha, Zeta Alpha Chapter's Miss Black and Gold is unreal! Sometimes we don't realize how much our friends and family really love and support us. I was brought to tears numerous times through my initial process for everyone's generosity.

Thank You to all of my friends and family and friends of loved ones for investing your hard earned money in my to buy ads and show your support!

Thank You to the Women's Ministry of my church home New Horizon Christian Fellowship for BUYING ME A COMPLETELY NEW DRESS! I felt  like a princess and I feel like a Princess every time I put it back on!

Thank You Chaundra Turner of Issa Style Studio for donating your time and effort to do my hair, make up and be my behind the scenes help. I will never forget any of the pep talks we have, you are a true friend =)

Thank you to my family who came out to the Pageant from Illinois, Arkansas, and Texas! You guys have always supported me to the fullest.

Thank you to my roomates Alex, Kyleigh, and Paige for allowing me to drive you crazy by practicing my talent for you a thousand times and practicing pageant questions with me.

To my Pageant Mom, LaJoyce Bogan:

 and my Interim Pageant Mom's Carolyn Cianciolo and Maikieta Brantley you guys held my hand throught this process and have became some of the greatest mentors and friends that anyone could ever ask for.

To all of my Pageant Sisters, you guys are all gems and I am so blessed that got a chance to get to know, love, and grow with you all! From our Potlucks, to practice, to inside jokes to impromptu movie and dinner dates, I love you guys!

To ZA, thank you so much for this awesome opportunity I look forward to bringing home more wins with you guys!
